Come join us at this year’s Healthy Schools Summit!


On Thursday, nationally recognized youth activist Shelby Knox, star of the documentary The Education of Shelby Knox will offer our keynote. Friday’s keynote will be provided by Dave La Rose, Superintendent of South Kitsap School District who will share his district’s work to serve the needs of the whole child through a whole community approach. On each day Keynotes will be followed by a wide variety of small group sessions and end with a ‘harvesting session’, a time to reflect on collective learning from the day. Who should attend? Advocates for healthy schools, school board members, superintendents, directors, principals, school improvement specialists, teachers, counselors/psychologists/social workers, family support workers, school nurses, school based health center staff, health educators/physical education teachers, food service, DECA, PTA/PTSA, community advocates, students, families and others.

Registration: Registration opened February 8 and closes on May 17, 2010. Early bird rate applies on or before May 3, 2010: $90 for one day; $170 for two days. Student early bird rate: $45 for one day; $85 for two days. Payment must be received by May 3 to receive this early bird rate. Regular registration applies May 4-17, 2010: $120 for one day; $200 for two days. Student regular rate:$75 for one day; $115 for two days.
