a poem by Amanda Lopez-Castanon

Time wouldn’t feel like it was standing still

We would all be together, not fighting uphill

Clocks would move

Crowds together would be jockeying for position

Heads would look up filled with decision

Life would move

When a child is born we’d celebrate

If COVID wasn’t here to complicate

Clocks would move

There would be one less worry to trouble us

Finding just one small hope wouldn’t be part of the struggle for us

Life could move

If COVID Wasn’t
