Stewart Bowerman is a Seattle native and proud resident of the South End. He was recently brought onto the team at Rainier Beach Action Coalition (RBAC) to coordinate the community-wide Positive Behavioral Interventions & Supports (PBIS) program. He is also currently working as a local research team manager with the Center for Evidence-Based Crime Prevention at George Mason University, and gathering data to support the Rainier Beach: A Beautiful Safe Place for Youth neighborhood initiative. Prior to working with RBAC and GMU, Stewart directed the Outreach to Internationals department at University Presbyterian Church which provided community and connection, ESL classes, job training, and assistance integrating into American society for immigrants to Seattle. He has also lived and worked abroad as an English teacher in Wuhan, China and can speak, read and write in Mandarin. 

In his free time, Stewart enjoys riding his bike around the area, playing guitar, going on weekend outdoor adventures, traveling, and spending quality time with his wife, Cynthia, and 1-year-old boy, Daniel (Pictured above)
