Seattle Department of Transportation (SDOT) has completed design and awarded a construction contract for comprehensive improvements to Bus Route 7 along S Jackson Street and Rainier Avenue S that will enhance the speed and reliability of bus service in the corridor and help make transit a better choice. The construction work will take place between June 28, 2010 and December 31, 2010.
The improvements will create a better waiting environment for bus passengers, improve travel time for buses, and improve parking conditions for automobiles on Rainier Avenue S.
