Upcoming Latina Family Events at Rainier Beach High School, March 29 and April 26

Campana Quetzal The Source Night – Tuesday *tomorrow*, March 29, 5:30-8:30pm, RBHS Library

Campana Quetzal will host a Source Informational Night workshop where families will learn how to access and utilize the Source. Families will also gain assistance in creating an e-mail account. Workshops will be delivered in Spanish. Please contact Reyna Aguila for more information.

 

Latino Family College Night – Thursday, April 26, 6-8:30pm, RBHS Cafeteria and Career Center

Viking Visionaries, UW School of Medicine, Campana Quetzal, El Centro de la Raza, and the Rainier Beach High School Latino Club are offering a Latino College Night for RBHS families and community members. Dinner will be provided. The purpose of event is to provide a culturally relevant platform for our Latino families to inform and encourage them to become familiar with high school requirements, post-secondary resources, and financial aid. Workshop topics include: high school graduation requirements vs. college entrance requirements; post-secondary options; and funding post-secondary education. Workshops will be delivered in both Spanish and English. Please contact Xaila Lewis for more information.
