YOU’RE INVITED: Bringing the Parent Revolution to your school, Dec. 8

revolution-handTake 100 high school freshmen in our state. Jump ahead 10 years. Do you know how many will have college degrees? 18.*

It gets worse. Over the next decade, two-thirds of all jobs in Washington state will require education beyond a high school diploma. Will your child be prepared?

Our kids can’t wait. We are failing our children. Your children. We can’t wait for the grownups to negotiate an agreement about how to fix things.

Other states are revolutionizing education. We found a couple of people who will give us ideas of how to do that here.

Ben Austin of California’s Parent Revolution and Trise Moore of the Federal Way School District will lead parents in a conversation about how we put the power back in the hands of the only people who care only about children — parents. (Read Trise’s blog post about how parents can support their child’s success in school and beyond.)
