We’re currently seeking dedicated volunteers to assist with event setup, registration, backpack distribution, activities, and cleanup. We’re also looking for sponsors whose support helps provide backpacks, school supplies, and other essential resources for local students. In addition, we’re welcoming resource booth vendors to share information about programs and services that benefit children, youth, and families throughout our community.

The success of the Back2School Bash has always been powered by people who believe in investing in the next generation. Whether you can give your time, provide financial support, or connect families to important resources, your partnership helps create a meaningful experience for hundreds of Rainier Beach students and families.

For 23 years, the Rainier Beach Action Coalition (RBAC) has organized this event to benefit our youth, neighborhoods, and families. With the support of fantastic volunteers, local businesses, and community organizations, the Rainier Beach Back2School Bash has historically been a day of celebration and gathering for neighborhood families, filled with music, laughter, and giving.

The purpose of this event remains the same as it was during the first bash in 2003:

To celebrate the greatness of each child and to address the socioeconomic barriers they face in their education.

As always, we will provide students and families with backpacks, school supplies, food, and information about important community resources available to them. We invite you to join us in ensuring that this year’s Rainier Beach Back2School Bash is a success for our youth.
