About The RB B2SB
For 22 years, the Rainier Beach Action Coalition (RBAC) has organized this event to benefit our youth, neighborhoods, and families. With the support of fantastic volunteers, local businesses, and community organizations, the Rainier Beach Back2School Bash has historically been a day of celebration and gathering for neighborhood families, filled with music, laughter, and giving.
This year’s Rainier Beach Back2School Bash will take place on Saturday, August 23, from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. at the Rainier Beach Community Center Plaza. The purpose of this event remains the same as it was during the first bash in 2003:
To celebrate the greatness of each child and to address the socioeconomic barriers they face in their education.
As always, we will provide students and families with backpacks, school supplies, food, and information about important community resources available to them. We invite you to join us in ensuring that this year’s Rainier Beach Back2School Bash is a success for our youth.

- Provide backpacks filled with school supplies to over 1000 students
- Partner with local businesses and statewide organizations to strengthen community connections
- Utilize more than 100 volunteers to bring this event to life
