Seattle People’s Fund’s mission is to improve and expand mutual understanding and respect within and between individuals and groups of the many diverse cultures in the Seattle area, particularly those whose voices have traditionally not been heard. We provide grants to assist communities in expressing and invigorating their cultural traditions, arts, and languages, and in building relationships with wider mainstream audiences.
Grant awards range between $500 and $3000.
Applications may be submitted anytime during the year.
Grants are reviewed in April and September. Deadline for April review is March 30, 2010.
Assistance with completing the grant application is available for organizations that need help.
Applicants must be located within the Puget Sound area, and be a tax-exempt nonprofit or be sponsored by a tax-exempt nonprofit.

Hello,
I recently learned about your group, and am very interested in applying for a grant to fund a community dinner in August 2011 for our Latinos Unidas group. This dinner would be hosted by our group, but put on for the entire neighborhood where we hold meetings. People in that neighborhood range from Caucasian, Eastern European, Black, Middle Eastern, to Latinos from Mexico and further south. There is a large mix of immigrant people with US Citizens in the neighborhood, and we want to introduce them all to the warm and bright friendliness of the Latino culture. Is a grant available for 2011?
