Hi there, friends!

As we close the chapter on another impactful year, Rainier Beach Action Coalition (RBAC) is excited to share our 2024 Annual Report. This report is a reflection of our collective work, resilience, and progress in building a stronger neighborhood. As stated in the annual report, 2024 was a year of transformation and progress for RBAC. We continued advocacy for food justice, youth empowerment, supporting local businesses, and neighborhood vibrancy and safety. RBAC remains committed to our mission of transforming Rainier Beach from within.

Here is a glimpse of what you will find in our report:

A Place for Everyone (APE): We strengthened economic efforts by supporting small businesses, advancing Black homeownership, hosting neighborhood events, and fostering more workforce development opportunities.

Lifelong Learning (LLL): We hosted our 2nd Annual Fundraising Luncheon, which set new fundraising records and showcased the neighborhood’s generosity, as well as our Back2School Bash that provided families with resources, activities, and meaningful connections, including the launch of our Four Branches, Four Colors: An RBAC Series fundraising campaign.

A Beautiful Safe Place (ABSP): RBAC’s work in neighborhood safety continued through neighborhood-led initiatives that prioritize incident reduction and social outreach in the Rainier Beach neighborhood through local relationship building.

Growing Food to Develop Healthy Industry (GFFHI): We strengthened our partnerships with Black and Brown farmers (check out our Seeds of Change documentary!), distributed fresh produce to hundreds of families, and grew our CSA program.

As we continue this work in 2025, we are so excited and energized by the progress and the possibilities that lie ahead! None of this would be possible without the support of our amazing community!
