We are excited to introduce our newest CCF team member Maurice Ward…
Dear Secret:
Maurice has spent his career building relationships with community stakeholders for the purpose of developing a better environment and quality of life for people throughout King County. He is the founder and Executive Director of the Multicultural Counseling Services, Ltd. specializing in a holistic approach to chemical dependency with intervention, treatment, and restoration of people and families impacted by drug and alcohol abuse.
King County Auditor Cheryle Broom appointed Maurice in late January to serve as a volunteer Deputy Citizen Councilor Coordinator. He joins me, and Deputy Carrie Shaw, as the appointed team for the CCF program.
Maurice brings a deep understanding about social and human capital, and how public and private organizations provide support structures within communities. Access to public decision-makers and education are vital to a healthy democracy and he looks forward to expanding Countywide Community Forum efforts especially with young people and youth-oriented organizations.
As we prepare to launch the next round of forums in the spring, I hope you’ll have an opportunity to meet Maurice and enjoy time with this talented, charismatic, and generous, community leader.
Sincerely,
John Spady
Citizen Councilor Coordinator
