The Rainier Beach Coalition hosts an annual community-wide event to celebrate the start of the new school year. Serving hundreds of students and families every year, we look forward to giving out free backpacks and school supplies for all in attendance.
Our next Back2School Bash is on August 20, 2011.

The Back2School Bash can’t happen without you. We need volunteers to help with the following:
- Join the planning committee
- Recruit community organizations to participate
- Procure donations
- Recruit volunteers for day-of event
- Help with set up and clean up
- Canvassing the neighborhood to get the word out!
We are looking for a special group of organizations to form our 10/50 Group.
10 organizations donating 50 back packs each

Man, I am excited. Time of this entry is three days before the 2010 Back2School Bash. Our eigth year in a row of giving away over 600 back packs and inspiring youth and families about education.
