16th annual Rainier Beach Back2School Bash serves hundreds. For the 16th year RBAC hosted the Back2School Bash that brought together 50 resource tables, 6 artistic performances, 15 members of it’s Corner Greeeter and Beach 5 program and 20 volunteers to aide over 300 families in improving their well being and readying students for school.Intended to inspire neighborhood students about their education and provide families with access to resources the 2019 edition according to RBAC’s managing strategist Gregory Davis was the.most memorable. “We made a decision the day of, due to early morning rain, to move the event inside the Rainier Beach Community Center. To have a neighborhood partner respond in the moment to allow us to move the event inside is the most inspirational thing of the day and an act for which we will forever in their debt” According to Davis this occurred only one other time (2009) in the history of event. and as done then this an event that happens annually. A huge thanks to all the volunteers and RBAC staff that made this event possible. Check out some of the highlights through images from the RBAC FreedomNet Community NewZ Team.
