A week and some change ago, we got to be a part of Farm Fest at Rainier Beach Urban Wetlands. The event was fruitful and abundant as we provided free produce to the community. Also, an event with Llamas and Hens, SIGN US UP! Big up to everyone who went and to all the community we got to make. We are immensely excited about the opportunity to do more events like this in the future.
During the final weeks of the farm stand, you can expect to see a lot more corn, squash, and pumpkins—perfect for getting into the fall spirit! While we’ll miss our berries and nectarines dearly, we are excited to provide new offerings to our patrons and celebrate the change of season with them. We have also been seeing a lot of volunteers come through to assist our operations on Saturday—some of them even being our farm partners’ kids! We are extremely grateful for all the support we have received, as our lines continue to grow week by week.
Want to get into the fall spirit but can’t make it to the farm stand? No worries, we will be distributing two late season CSA boxes containing gleaned produce from our farmers! One will be sent during the week of October 30th, while our final box will be going out the week of November 20th. If you’re interested, please sign-up here!
