Throughout this year RBAC had taken on project management for the Recreating Henderson Street. You can read more background on the project here.  Since January we have heard amazing feedback about the ideas, improvements, hopes and dreams that the Rainier Beach Community has for Henderson Street.  Some ideas we have heard are more trees, more retail spaces such as coffee shops, food trucks, art, farmers markets, improved lighting, outdoor movie nights, mobile services (salon, healthcare, dental, etc..), and much more. 

 

As we have gathered feedback from the community our design team Environmental Works has been creating and updating draft designs. In November we have a final celebration presenting the final design.  This is why we want to have As much community feedback as possible. Your opinion matters if you live, work, or play in Rainier Beach!  We want to make sure that your voice is represented. On Saturday, September 21st we will have our third and last public meeting at  Rainier Beach Community Center from 11 am-1 pm. Join us to give your feedback and enjoy food, music, and great conversations. Childcare will be provided. We hope to see you there!
