We are incredibly grateful to everyone who participated in making RBAC’s first volunteer recruitment event a success!
April was National Volunteer Month, and thanks to the generous support of United Way King County, we hosted our first Volunteer Recruitment Event at the RBAC Food Innovation Center. A huge kudos to the staff and volunteers who helped assemble the first 100 backpacks for the 2025 Back2School Bash!
The event began with mingling, delicious food from local business Spice Waala, and opening remarks from the RBAC team leaders. Our volunteers then sprang into action, collaborating to put together 100 backpacks filled with school supplies for the youth in the Rainier Beach neighborhood.
If you missed our first volunteer event, don’t worry! There will be more opportunities! We also have upcoming events, including the 2025 Walk the Block Party on Saturday, May 24, and the 2025 Back2School Bash on Saturday, August 23!
