Preface:

 

Special kudos to Kerry White, our Director of Food Justice and Innovation, who has picked up the baton to steward the project management of the tenant improvement construction previously carried out by David Sauvion. She’s chronicled nearly every action needed, as proven by the collection of composition books she uses. Thank you, Kerry!

 

We are within a couple of weeks of completing Phase 4 of the Rainier Beach Growth Center and bringing our community test kitchen online!

 

We are ready to order our big kitchen equipment pieces, including a commercial dishwasher that will be professionally maintained! The centerpiece of the kitchen is a 12-foot 4-inch island with seating, demonstration stations, and some really clever storage. 

 

We will be offering skill shares for our teams in the upcoming months to get our systems in place so it’s the best it can be when we welcome the community to the space!

 

We have two 65” TVs for demonstrations, meetings, and viewings. We can’t wait to share this beautiful space with you!
