Rainier Beach, is set to have a new affordable housing apartment complex in our neighborhood,
Polaris At Rainier Beach, is Mixed-use offering 5,300 square feet of ground-level commercial
space and 308 affordable housing units (affordable at 60% Area Median Income). Overall
square footage of project: 355,244, Including one full level of parking garage 148 parking
stalls, and 308 biking storage.
Polaris at Rainier Beach commercial space is currently contracted to Northwest Black Pioneers
and M.A.R.S Academy Early Childhood Development Center and for a Youth Mentoring
Program, to best, serve residents of the community and surrounding neighborhood.
Polaris is uniquely designed and built to have engagement with community activities, some of
the amazing amenities that the apartment will have are: community game room, community
theater, a community playground in the small courtyard, and community gathering space in the
larger-main courtyard. Leasing has started and residents are tentatively scheduled to start moving in February 1st,
2022.
