Mayor McGinn’s Proposed 2011-2012 City Budget as it relates to Seattle Department of Neighborhoods(DON):

  • Closing 7 Neighborhood Service Centers(6 nonpayment locations and one payment office in West Seattle)
  • Eliminating 6 Neighborhood District Coordinators
  • Reducing Neighborhood Matching Fund budget by $700,000
  • Reducing Historic Preservation budget by $300,000 which includes eliminating one time funding of $127,000 for survey and inventory work in Southeast Seattle
