WA Cement Masons Local 528 WSDOT CAMP Pre-Apprenticeship Training Program – funded by a grant from the WA State Department of Transportation

WHEN: July 31 – Aug 10, 2018, Mon-Fri 6:30am-3pm (Evaluation/Selection Day is July 30)

WHERE: WA Cement Masons Apprenticeship Training Center, 6737 Corson Ave. South, Seattle, WA 98108

COST: All costs of this training program will be covered, including tools, equipment, and the Local 528 initiation fee!

Requirements include:

  • Available to attend all training days
  • At least 18 years old
  • Must be low-income/disadvantaged OR a female OR a minority
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation
  • Legal to work in United States
  • Able to frequently lift and move objects 50 lbs. or more
  • Must pass Evaluation/Selection Day
  • Must pass industry-required physical
  • Must pass industry-required drug test
  • Applicants who do not have CPR/First Aid and/or OSHA 10 certifications will also be required to attend additional training provided at no cost

Those who are selected for and successfully complete the WSDOT CAMP training, and meet all the apprenticeship requirements, will have the opportunity to join the WA Cement Masons Apprenticeship and Local 528 and begin earning first-year apprentice wages starting at $25.58/hr+benefits!
