Just a friendly reminder that the second annual Bridge to Beach All Valley Earth Day Makeover will be held on Saturday, April 24, 2010.
Hurry and get together with your family, friends, neighbors, and co-workers to form a team and decide on a project whether it be trash collecting, graffiti removal, flower planting, weeding, mowing, clearing out a junky briar choked vacant lot or working on a traffic circle that needs tending. The deadline to register your team’s project is April 7th. Online registration is now available here.
If you or your group want to join an already team organized contact the organizers listed or check the Google maps at http://bit.ly/cFTMRg for a list of projects. As groups submit their project registration to the organizers it will get posted onto the map for community members to see and learn about all the projects that will take place on April 24th.
Don’t forget about the other fun part of the Bridge to Beach All Valley Earth Day Makeover and that is groups have the opportunity to win a prize for completing a project that fits one of the following categories: Most Artistic paint out, Best Down in the Dirt weeding/planting, Greenest Thumb, Clean Slate Garbage Pickup, Best Traffic circle beautification, More than Just a Walk in the Park improvement, Most Enthusiastic Community Spirit, Largest Volunteer Turnout, Most Creative Project, Most Innovative Project that inspires a new award category!
